The York County Bar Association
The York County Bar Association (YCBA) is a non-profit professional membership association of attorneys and judges with nearly 500 members. Membership in the YCBA is open to any person admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania. Members must maintain a permanent residence in York County or maintain an office within York County for the practice of law. Individuals who neither reside in York County nor maintain an office in York County for the practice of law may be eligible to become an Associate Member of the Association. Membership dues are based on the number of years a member has been in practice. YCBA does have a policy for release to the general public of its Membership List.  The Association maintains a list of deceased members.

  • Free Wireless Internet at the York County Judicial Center

    The York County Bar Association is now offering its members free wireless internet at the York County Judicial Center. To register and sign the terms and conditions please visit http://www.yorkbarwifi.com.

    Note: Access is available on the 4th, 6th and 7th floors.  The signal is strongest in the Library on the 4th floor. Non-YCBA members can have access for a low fee of $100 a year.  Payment and registration for non-members can be made by contacting the Bar Center at 717-854-8755. Questions?   • As members of the Bar Association, members will have many opportunities to network and socialize with other attorneys in their area of practice or interest.The Bar Association has over forty committees and several Sections to join - a great opportunity to meet with other attorneys and discuss hot topics in your practice.
  • Each member receives free of charge The York Legal Record, the weekly official publication of the York County Court of Common Pleas.
  • Each member receives free of charge  The Bar Brief, a quarterly publication of The Bar Association covering Association events and legal news in our community.
  • Members may also become a part of our lawyer-referral program, Attorney Connection.
  • Members receive discounts on Continuing Legal Education credits for various courses held at the Association.
  • Members will also receive a Membership benefits card which will entitle them to various benefits with local vendors.

Interested applicants should complete the membership application and return it to the Association.  We also encourage you to sign up for the Pro Bono Program administered by The York County Bar Foundation.  Upon receipt of your application, we will include you in the mailing list to receive the materials for a day- long orientation process where you will receive a half day of instruction,  followed by a luncheon meeting of the membership, a formal introduction to the Bench, and a reception in your honor.
